Beverly L. Cocke
Beverly Cocke is no stranger to the Brookland District. A graduate of Hermitage High School, Mrs. Cocke is thrilled to represent the district in which she has lived her entire life. A passionate and committed advocate for our public schools, she brings to the School Board a unique perspective as a former student, substitute teacher and parent in Henrico County Public Schools.
Raised with the belief that it is her civic duty to give back to her community, Mrs. Cocke has also dedicated hundreds of hours volunteering in many different capacities.
She has served as the PTA president at her daughters’ middle school and as a two-term PTSA president at their high school. She has been a Girl Scout leader, and is a longtime volunteer with the Henrico Christmas Mother Council, serving as the Henrico Christmas Mother in 2015. She has been appointed to various boards in Henrico County, but is best known for her work on the Historic Preservation Advisory Committee.
“It is a privilege to represent the Brookland District and I will continue to work hard to provide all children with the best education possible, and to do so in a cost-effective manner.”
Mrs. Cocke and her husband, Jack, have four children. Like their mother, Mrs. Cocke’s two daughters are also graduates of Hermitage High School.
