Careers

Henrico County Public Schools is hiring creative and dedicated professionals who believe that every student is entitled to have a positive and productive learning experience. We serve Henrico County, Virginia, which adjoins the vibrant capital city of Richmond on the west, north and east. The Richmond region is an amazing place to live, work and play!

The school division offers traditional learning programs as well as an array of programs to fit the needs of each and every student. We employ more than 6,600 staff and faculty members, who support nearly 50,000 students.

HCPS is committed to building, recognizing and rewarding its tremendous staff. Since 2012-13, all full-time employees have seen a total pay increase of at least 49.3%. During that same period, all HCPS teachers saw their pay increase by at least 60.1%.

Our caring community, commitment to employees and state-of-the-art facilities are just a few of the many reasons to work for Henrico County Public Schools.

Forbes again recognizes HCPS as one of Virginia's best employers

“It's an incredible honor for HCPS to be recognized again as one of the top employers in Virginia, and it's a testament to the job all our staff members do in supporting our students. The school division would not be the same without the dedication of these individuals in classrooms, cafeterias, school buses and everything in between. HCPS is proud to provide an environment that fosters this type of success and satisfaction.” — Amy Cashwell, HCPS superintendent
