It’s easier than ever for HCPS families to find the right online school services and resources. Now, when you visit the sites below, you’ll see answers to two questions:

  • Who can sign up?
  • What is needed?

We’ll tell you exactly who the service or site is intended for, and what you need to create an account. Still have questions about an HCPS online resource? Each application has a “New User Information” button with helpful troubleshooting tips. If you still need assistance, please contact your child’s school.

 

Available Now and Coming Soon

Available now:

  • Back-to-school paperwork is included in PowerSchool Parent Portal. Just log in (or create your account if you don’t have one) and look for “Access Online Forms” on the left side of the screen. These forms are available through Sept. 20 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Teacher assignments for elementary students are posted in PowerSchool Parent Portal for students in pre-K through fifth grade.
  • Teacher assignments for middle and high schools will be available on PowerSchool Parent Portal for students in grades 6-12.  

On Monday, Sept. 21, grades and attendance information for students in grades 6-12 will begin posting on PowerSchool Parent Portal.

On Monday, Sept. 28, grades and attendance information for students in grades K-5 will begin posting on PowerSchool Parent Portal. Grades for pre-K students will display at the end of the first nine weeks.

(Note: There is a PowerSchool app available for Apple and Android devices, but it is limited and does not display all the menu items available on the Parent Portal webpage.)

PowerSchool Parent Portal

PowerSchool gives families with students in pre-K through grade 12 easy access to class grades, attendance information and student schedules. The portal also gives you “single sign-on” access to other online services such as RYCOR Online Forms and MySchoolBucks, without having to create accounts specifically for those sites. The online student information tool comes in two versions: one for students, and one for parents and guardians. While students get their accounts automatically, parents and guardians need to create an account.

PowerSchool Parent Portal can be accessed using a browser on a computer, phone or tablet, or by downloading the app for Apple or Android devices. Please note that the app has some restrictions and does not display all menu options.

Schoology for Parents and Guardians

Schoology is HCPS’ online learning management system, and helps support “anytime, anywhere” learning. The common platform connects students, families, teachers and academic content. Sign up for a parent account to stay abreast of announcements, assignments and assessments at your child’s school.

Schoology can be accessed using a browser on a computer, phone or tablet, or by downloading the app for Apple or  Android devices. Please note that the app has some restrictions and does not display all menu options.

Complete Online Forms

You can submit school forms using a secure online website accessed through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Just log in and click the “Access Online Forms” icon in the PowerSchool Parent Portal sidebar menu. This option saves time, money and paper!

Please note: Access Online Forms is not available through the PowerSchool Mobile App.

Make School Payments

Online School Payments lets you make secure online payments for school fees for a variety of products and services. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, some fees have been waived for the 2020-21 school year. Not required this year are HCPS fees for laptops, information access and retrieval, P.E. and science.

Please note that a 4% service fee is added to fee totals to pay the vendor for this service.

Pay for School Meals

NOTICE: MySchoolBucks cannot be accessed at this time through the single sign-on feature in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. To use MySchoolBucks, go directly to the MySchoolBucks website.

MySchoolBucks enables parents and guardians to easily pay for school meals, track balances and review purchased items. MySchoolBucks is for all students, in pre-K through grade 12. To use the service, go directly to the MySchoolBucks site and create an account, or use the single sign-on feature available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Student Records Request is a secure site for former students to get transcripts, attendance information and employment verifications.

The HCPS Library Services website gives students access to the HCPS Libraries catalog, e-books and powerful online resources. Please use your student computer login to get started.
