YAY GARRETT MONTGOMERY! Garrett Montgomery, an art teacher at Ruby Carver Elementary School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.
YAYWORTHY: Nominator Jeffrey Limpin said: “She is constantly working to prepare. Her students not only exercise their ability to create art, but she also creates lesson plans that challenge these young students to find the artist within. These wonderful students are in an important stage of developing their brains, and it’s amazing to see. I’m so glad they have the opportunity to exercise creativity that isn’t just directed by authority but rather encourages and helps each student to create based on their individual passions. “She regularly receives feedback from parents saying how much their children enjoy her classes and their time together.”
