YAY MARIE WILCOX! Marie Wilcox, a math teacher at Tuckahoe Middle School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.
YAYWORTHY: Her nominator said: “She goes over and beyond to teach the kids algebra. She meets with kids before school, posts videos of her teaching and really tries to help the kids succeed — while also holding them accountable and challenging them a great deal. She also helps organize and run the school’s International Baccalaureate program.”
“She has helped my boys with math before school when they were struggling, and their confidence in math has started to build. She is a true educator and I am impressed with her teaching and love for the kids.”
