YAY JULIE RANSON! Julie Ranson, an art teacher at Tuckahoe Elementary School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.

YAYWORTHY: Nominator Kelly Adams said: “Mrs. Ranson works hard to make sure that students enjoy art and feel comfortable and confident when expressing their artistic side! She is a pleasure to work with and contributes to areas beyond her classroom. She has been the point-person at Tuckahoe for the “Square 1″ art fundraiser for many years. She always makes sure that each student produces artwork they are proud of. Parents want to celebrate their students’ work by purchasing products — such as mugs and notecards — with the students’ art on it. It’s a win-win for students, families and the PTA, and none of it would be possible without the creativity, energy, inspiration and joy sparked by Mrs. Ranson.”

Thank you for all you do, Julie Ranson, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
