YAY KEVIN CARR! Kevin Carr, a gifted programs lead teacher in the Department of Teaching, Learning and Innovation, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored him recently.
YAYWORTHY: Nominator Jenna Conlee said: “Kevin works incredibly hard to support students, teachers and staff in HCPS gifted programs. He is highly organized and detail-oriented. Kevin is also kind and hardworking. We love him! A particular example is the way he supported a new staff member throughout the 2021-22 school year. Kevin met with her regularly to share ideas, work with her students and help with lesson-planning. Kevin also took over for another teacher who resigned toward the end of last school year, to ensure that her students had high quality instruction for the remainder of the year. There are many many more examples of Kevin’s positive impact on students and staff. He is an incredible teacher and colleague!”
