YAY ANDREA FERGUSON! Andrea Ferguson, a third grade teacher at Raymond Pinchbeck Elementary School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently.
YAYWORTHY: Nominator Nichole Smithson said: “Mrs. Ferguson has provided space for my son to feel confident, and he is happy when he leaves for school and VERY happy when he returns from school. Her structure is exactly what he needed.
“She makes a positive difference every day. Every day our son wakes up and is ready to go o school without a fight and without tears. Every day he comes home and he says he’s “had the best day.” While I don’t know specifically what happened for him to “have the best day,” I know that he would not be saying it if he didn’t feel comfortable in his learning environment — the environment that Mrs. Ferguson has provided.”
