Henrico, Va., Nov. 28, 2022 — Decorate for the holidays without spending a lot of green when you buy festive plants from Henrico County Public Schools students. Horticulture and landscaping programs at the Advanced Career Education Center at Virginia Randolph and the Advanced Career Education Center at Hermitage will hold sales of student-grown plants in December. Stop by and give your house the gift of beautiful holiday plants at great prices.
ACE Center at Virginia Randolph Holiday Sale
Students will be selling poinsettias (large for $8 and small for $4), wreaths from $15-25, and cyclamen and African violets for $4. Need a place to display your holiday plants? Students in the school’s masonry program will be selling concrete planters for $20.
- When: Dec. 1-2 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Where: 2204 Mountain Road, Glen Allen, Va. 23060. The greenhouses are accessible from the entrance road on the western edge of campus.
- Payment: Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.

ACE Center at Hermitage Holiday Plant Sale
Students will be selling foil-wrapped poinsettias for $8.50 (multiple colors are available). Fresh evergreen wreaths and centerpieces will start at $15.
- When: Dec. 8-9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Where: 8301 Hungary Spring Road, Henrico, Va. 23228. Because of construction, customers should enter the Hermitage High School campus from East Parham Road, using Hermitage High Boulevard, across from the Henrico County Western Government Center. Parking for the sale will be in the first lot on the right, behind the school.
- Payment: Cash and checks will be accepted.
