"He goes above and beyond, redefining what it means to be a teacher. His unique perspective on various topics is refreshing and a welcome change of pace. Every time I step into his class, I learn and retain something new. His English class is not just about reading and annotating; we dig deeper! In British Literature, we began the semester by experimenting with different writing utensils, starting with feathers, quills and ink before progressing to the modern pencil. To bring history to life, we even held a manuscript competition to see who could create the best piece using traditional tools. It was an engaging and hands-on experience that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We also had a bookbinding class where we built books from scratch, making the learning process even more immersive. He even brought his mom, a professional bookbinder, to guide us through the process. The classroom felt alive as we worked on our books, creating something tangible with our own hands. We will use our newly built books to journal and freely express ourselves.

"Beyond the classroom, Mr. B genuinely cares about his students. He wants to see everyone succeed and enjoy their time in school. I cherish our morning conversations and the countless ways he has impacted my life. Every school should have teachers like Mr. Baumgartner because nothing compares to the Baumgartner experience. Mr. B, you are amazing!"

Thank you for all you do, Colin Baumgartner, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
