YAY LAURIE MORRIS! Laurie Morris, a math teacher at George H. Moody Middle School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Moody.

"Ms. Morris always thinks about everyone and makes sure that everyone knows what they're doing. Math can be hard and complicated but Ms. Morris always makes sure that each student understands. She's also our school's Model U.N. sponsor and she works really hard to support us all.
"Ms. Morris always makes it a point to develop more than an academic relationship with her students. Many of her students know her personally and can look to her for guidance on anything. For example, Ms. Morris has guided me throughout the first weeks of eighth grade. She's given me advice on studying, high school applications and my classes in general. She's always been there for every question I've had and even when she doesn't know something she always tries her hardest to help."
