Celebrating Black History Month HCPS

Celebrate Black History Month and support HCPS students at two divisionwide events in February!

• On Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 5-7 p.m., HCPS Family and Community Engagement hosts "All Together Tuesday: Celebrating Black History" at The Oak (15 S. Oak Ave.), which will celebrate Black history in Richmond and beyond through live music, food, speakers and student performances.

• The HCPS Office of Equity, Diversity and Opportunity invites everyone to the third annual Black History Month Poetry Slam on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the Henrico Theatre (305 E. Nine Mile Road). Middle and high schoolers from across Henrico will perform their impactful poetry connected to the theme "Where Do We Go From Here?"

Both events are free to attend. RSVP for "All Together Tuesday: Celebrating Black History" at hcps.info/FACE_BHM.
