YAYWORTHY:

Nominator Brandi Wade said:

"She always goes out of her way to check on students and staff. She spends her own money to decorate our teachers lounge for holidays. She is such a caring and dedicated employee, she truly is one of the best and we are so blessed to have her with us at Baker. As I write this nomination, I am watching her salsa dance with students during a movement break. She is just simply amazing and absolutely loves her job."

Nominator Whitney Funk said:

"Ms. Witcher goes out of her way to support all students in the classes she supports. She often will purchase supplies if a student shows up without them. Ms. Witcher can often be seen walking in the halls with a student who may need a break to reset during a difficult assignment or pulling a small group of students who may need a little extra help in class. In addition to supporting students at Baker, she also frequently brings in treats to inspire and encourage staff throughout the school year. As a retired teacher, she knows the challenges teachers face on a daily basis."

Nominator Paige Michanco said:

"She is fully dedicated to the students and teachers that she supports. She takes the time to get to know all students in the classrooms she services, not just students on her case load."

Nominator Charles Snellings said:

"She deserves a 'Yay' because of how she shows up for students and staff and boosts morale across Baker. She decorated the teachers lounge of her own accord."

Thank you for all you do, Hope Witcher, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
