YAY LISA BLAINE! Lisa Blaine, an LIEP teacher at R.C. Longan Elementary, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Longan.

Nominator Elizabeth Bowry said:
"She has proven time and time again with her dedication to her students and newcomers. She wants to make sure that people who are just coming here feel welcomed and heard during their transition to the United States. She also goes above and beyond for her team members never expecting any praise in return.
"She makes sure that all of her information sent home have more than one language on it so all adults can be informed on what is going on in the classroom or for field trips. She then shared all of her forms with her teammates to make sure the same information was given to all adults throughout her grade level despite which classroom their students were in."
