While Henrico County Public Schools’ College and Career Night isn’t exactly time travel, students will get a good look at their options for life after high school when they attend the Oct. 22 event. Students and their families can talk with representatives of:

  • Nearly 100 two- and four-year colleges and universities.

  • Branches of the military.

  • Professional training programs.

  • Employers, such as local businesses and government agencies.

The countywide event will be held at Highland Springs High School from 6-8 p.m.

Interpreters will be available at the event. There will also be representatives present to discuss financial aid, scholarships and other resources to support students pursuing a variety of postsecondary paths.

HCPS College and Career Night

Who: Henrico County students of all ages and their families are invited.

When: Oct. 22 from 6-8 p.m.

Where: Highland Springs High School, 200 S. Airport Drive, Highland Springs, VA 23075

The event uses preregistration barcodes to help families make the most of their time. Before the event, students should go to https://app.strivescan.com/visit to fill out a brief questionnaire and get a personal barcode they can share. When they find colleges at the event that pique their interest, students can quickly transfer their contact information by having their personal barcode scanned. The feature helps reduce crowds in the aisles, as students stop to fill out information cards for colleges.

College and Career Night is sponsored by HCPS in partnership with the Virginia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.
