YAY DEBORAH FIELDS AND CHRISSY WAGNER! Deborah Fields, a reading specialist, and Chrissy Wagner, a music teacher, of Varina Elementary are today's "Yay of the Day" honorees! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored them recently!

Nominator Cheryl Kirk said,
“I have been a bus driver for Varina Elementary for 17 years. I cannot express what a joy it is to interact with these two wonderful ladies, Ms. Fields and Ms. Wagner, on the bus ramp every morning. Not only do they put a smile on every student’s face as they exit the bus, they also make the drivers smile. Their daily positive interactions with students and drivers are amazing and they complement each other so well in their roles. I haven’t encountered anything like it in all my years being employed for HCPS. They are truly impacting the lives of students and preparing them for a successful day ahead. I hope they receive recognition for their outstanding job performance."
