YAY LAURA WADDY! Laura Waddy, lead custodian at New Bridge Learning Center, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at New Bridge!
YAYWORTHY:
Nominator Debbie George said,
“She is a superhero in every sense of the word. There is no stain too big, mess too complicated or situation that she will not try to work through for the team!
"Ms. Waddy's quick thinking at a school board meeting saved a life! She popped on her cape and sprang into action to assist a team member who was unresponsive and struggling with an acute health crisis. This was during an afterhours event, but Ms. Waddy calmly connected with our director of school safety and took the necessary steps to ensure our team member was OK. She has continued to check on and connect with that team member while they are on their road to recovery. Ms. Waddy walks through the halls always willing to lend a helping hand no matter how small or large the mess or the level of stress. Ms. Waddy is our YAY of the day, even though she hides and tucks that cape in to avoid drawing attention to her deeds but rather to serve!"
Thank you for all you do, Laura Waddy, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
