YAY ANN MARAMBA! Ann Maramba, a registrar at Quioccasin Middle, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Quioccasin!

YAYWORTHY:

Nominator Tammy Mizelle said,

“Ann goes the extra mile and then some in her role as registrar at Quioccasin Middle School! At Quioccasin, we are constantly enrolling new students all throughout the school year. It can feel overwhelming at times, but Ann handles it all with patience and grace. Many of our families enroll from out of state or country, and while this can be a stressful process for families, Ann is so welcoming and puts everyone at ease. She always does everything with a smile on her face and with a can-do attitude! We are so fortunate to have her as part of our school counseling team!

"Ann fills in wherever there is a need, even though her plate is constantly full. She always takes the time to help students, staff members and parents. Many of our parents do not speak English. Ann takes the time to work with them through the use of interpreters and speaking in Spanish. She makes families and students feel important, heard and welcome in our school community. She is someone who many families turn to as a point of contact at our school because they trust she will find the answers and help they need. She is an amazing support to our school counseling team! She handles all tasks with grace and an amazing sense of organization."

Thank you for all you do, Ann Maramba, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
