YAY JAN BUDRYK! Jan Budryk, a library associate and career counseling support at the ACE Centers, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently.

YAYWORTHY:

Nominator Victoria Gifford said,

“Jan has gone above and beyond to make a difference for both students and staff between ACE Center at Hermitage and ACE Center at Highland Springs.

“Despite going back and forth between schools, Jan always stays organized and helps take the load off of other staff by taking charge on hefty work assignments such as Workplace Readiness Testing. She made sure all of our testing materials were distributed accurately and promptly, she crafted an extensive set of spreadsheets for proctoring information/testing locations and she somehow always managed to reply to any emails or cries for help regarding testing in a quick and efficient manner despite being tied up with other job duties like handling a recent trip or arranging student shadowing. Besides her enormous role in ensuring testing ran smoothly, she is also ALWAYS willing to lend an ear or a hand to students or staff, all while maintaining a motivational presence in our school community. There simply are not enough words to describe the helpful and inspiring impact Jan has made on not just me but our schools as a whole. I feel her dedication to the school and people in it deserve recognition, especially since her role tends to be more "behind the scenes." Because of this, I think it often goes unnoticed just how much Jan is responsible for organizing or completing."

Thank you for all you do, Jan Budryk, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
