Registering a child for kindergarten is an exciting time for families. Registration opens today for Henrico County families to enroll kindergarten students for the 2024-25 school year. There are two ways to complete the initial registration process for rising kindergartners in Henrico County Public Schools: by completing the online PowerSchool Enrollment Form or by calling the child’s school and making an appointment with the registrar for an in-person meeting. The online PowerSchool Enrollment process is strongly encouraged.
To enroll a child in HCPS kindergarten for 2024-25, the child must reside in Henrico County with a parent or court-appointed legal custodian and be 5 years old by Sept. 30.
