YAY RASHAWN SMITH-BOLAR! RaShawn Smith-Bolar, a school counselor at Fairfield Middle School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Fairfield.

“She is the epitome of an advocate for students and shows passion for her profession as a middle school counselor! For a little over 20 years, Mrs. Smith-Bolar has demonstrated that she can make informed decisions quickly and effectively. She is dependable, thoughtful, considerate of all and has open communication with everyone. She provides encouragement, support and adds a little extra love for all her students! I am beyond grateful to have experienced and learned from Mrs. Smith-Bolar as her student intern!
"She assisted all eighth grade students and their parents with the ACA and ACE application processes, clarification of projects and essays and questions prior to the deadline. Her work ethic, rapport and relationships with everyone she encounters shows that she has a passion for the work she does. Shadowing Mrs. Smith-Bolar during my internship with HCPS she has taught me and provided the basic foundational knowledge and principles I’d need as a school counselor."
