YAY KELLY CRAGLE AND CHRISTINA THRASHER! Kelly Cragle and Christina Thrasher, librarians at Henrico High School, are today's "Yay of the Day" honorees. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored them recently at the school.
YAYWORTHY:
Nominator Taylor Allen said,
“Christina always has great ideas to build community within the library and the school. She helps students create, research and design their own learning experiences, and has started traditions like the poetry cafe. Students share their writing in a safe space with their peers and get to celebrate beautiful works of art they've made!
"Kelly loves her students and it shows! She makes the library a space that is welcoming, warm and safe for all students. Henrico High is lucky to have librarians that care about the students deeply. They have known some students there since they were in elementary school! A great example of the way she makes a difference is the culture of research she has helped build at Henrico High. She supports all Henrico students, including specialty center students — artists, dancers, musicians and the IB students. There are so many layers to the work she does and it shows when we see Henrico High come together in unity!"
Thank you for all you do, Kelly Cragle and Christina Thrasher, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
