YAY ROBIN MILWIT! Robin Milwit, a kindergarten teacher at Greenwood Elementary School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Greenwood.
YAYWORTHY:
Nominator Amanda Brown said,
“Mrs. Milwit took in my grandson who was on an IEP for his behavior. Mrs. Milwit worked so hard with him. She showed him love, strength, courage. She understood his big feelings. She gave him tools to handle them. By the end of the school year, we had a completely different kid. He was loving, calm and excited for the school day. Most of all, Mrs. Milwit showed our grandson that school is a safe place and that she always had his back and love. She really loves him!
“Our grandson was having a really bad day. Mrs. Milwit took time away from class and got down on his level. She explained big feelings and ways to manage difficult feelings. She hugged him, told him she loved him. He knew everything was gonna be OK because of her."
Thank you for all you do, Robin Milwit, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
