Henrico County Public Schools leaders will gather Feb. 21 and 27 to dedicate two state-of-the-art Advanced Career Education facilities near Hermitage and Highland Springs high schools. The new facilities will add from 800 to 1,000 potential new slots for students who want to take career and technical education classes. In addition to traditional skills programs such as auto body repair and veterinary science, the new facilities provide space for new programs such as cyber security and physical therapy.
A new free-standing building increases space for ACE Center classes at Hermitage. The ACE Center at Highland Springs occupies a renovated and expanded facility in a portion of the former Highland Springs High School building, which became available when the new HSHS was constructed next door.
