YAYWORTHY:
Nominator Somer Sentz said,
“She truly loves the kids in her class. The way she talks to them makes them each feel so special. She is dedicated to helping them learn and grow and always following the latest research on learning and reading. My son was lucky enough to have her six years ago before the pandemic — and now my daughter is lucky enough to have her six years later. He passion for her kids has only grown stronger. She was made to teach first grade, and she brightens these kids each day!
“When she had her class do presentations and defend if they would choose a bear or fox. It was an experience that built confidence in the children as they stood behind their opinion and had to present it to the class. She encouraged the kids to think outside of the box but more importantly to believe in themselves. She had them present with a microphone. This was a confidence booster for so many of these kids teaching them to stand up for what they believe in. My daughter couldn’t stop talking about the experience. Miggie is magical with these kids!"
Thank you for all you do, Miggie Mustian, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
