YAY TAMMY MIZELLE! Tammy Mizelle, a school counselor at Quioccasin Middle School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree. She was recently honored by Dr. Ingrid Grant, chief of school leadership.

Nominator Liz Burnett said,
“Ms. Mizelle has been an amazing support and a huge advocate for my sons throughout middle school.
“Ms. Mizelle has helped us navigate complex scheduling needs and everything related to helping a medically complex child receive the most positive and equitable education. Our other child is extremely sensitive and has several times needed help navigating social and academic situations. Ms. Mizelle has helped maintain dignity while providing individualized support.”
Sarah Allen said,
“She goes out of her way to make sure every student feels special and heard.
“She helped my students to gain confidence in themselves and learn responsibility. She is always there to support and listen to parents while advocating for students. I have never seen her without a smile and encouraging words. She has helped my children navigate the difficult world of middle school.”
