YAY MICHAEL SHRUM! Michael Shrum, a social studies teacher at Short Pump Middle School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored him recently at the school.

“Mr. Shrum worked so hard to create a leadership curriculum all by himself! He created a system he uses call “GLADS,” and after every test his students fill out a GLADS google form:
• G stands for ‘What are you grateful for?’
• L stands for ‘What did you learn today or yesterday?’
• A is ‘What did you achieve today or yesterday?’
• D means ‘What delighted you today or yesterday?
• S is ‘What did you do for self-care today or yesterday.?’
