YAY SAMANTHA SNYDER! Samantha Snyder, a life science and physical science teacher at Holman Middle School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.
YAYWORTHY:
Nominator Mursal Hassanzada said,
“She has had a really positive impact in my life. And not only in my life but on all her students by supporting them through everything — any time in any way, no matter what. She is always there for me with a smile on her face. From the first day of school last year — when I did not speak much English and didn't know what to do with any of the assignments — she helped and supported me in any way possible, telling me, ‘You got this’ and ‘You can do better next time.’ She made all the work and assignments extra easy for me, so I could understand and learn something from it. She really is a hero — the nicest human being and the best teacher you could ever have.
“I don’t want to forget about that back-to-school night when she jumped out of her chair, ran to me and hugged me. She truly deserves this award. Thank you, Mrs. Snyder!”
Thank you for all you do, Samantha Snyder, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
