YAY KENNESHA WALKER! Kennesha Walker, a technical education teacher at Elko Middle School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell recently honored her at Elko.
YAYWORTHY: Nominator Rebecca Crofts said: “She goes above and beyond for the good of students, her fellow teachers and the school. She’s one amazing individual who brings her whole fantastic self to school each day. “On top of teaching full time and sponsoring Elko’s Technology Student Association Club, Ms. Walker has been setting up and leaving lessons for the art class during the transition time between teachers. She takes care of the advisory material, daily lessons and grades for these students because she feels it’s the right thing to do. Kudos to her for being so generous with her time.”
