YAY KATELYN CROOK! Katelyn Crook, a second grade teacher at Crestview Elementary School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.

YAYWORTHY: Nominator Jehan Gabrual said: “Mrs. Crook consistently finds creative ways to engage her students in meaningful ways. Families are able to see her daily lessons and activities with our children as she sends them through Class Dojo. It helps spark conversations with our children and we know exactly what they are doing throughout the day. Mrs. Crook’s effective communication skills allow parents to know exactly what is happening in the classroom and how we can better support our students. I am thankful that we can work as a team in my child’s education!

“I see it in the excitement my child has about going to school. The Monday after break, he said, “I can’t wait to see my teacher and friends. I’ve missed them so much.” This simple statement makes it evident that Mrs. Crook builds strong relationships within her classroom family! Returning to school after a long break can be difficult, but he remembered all of the great things happening in Mrs. Crook’s class! Thank you!”

Thank you for all you do, Katelyn Crook, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
