HENRICO, Va. April 20, 2023 — Henrico County Public Schools’ annual weekend arts festival is back, with displays of art from schools across Henrico County. The Henrico ARTS Festival – the acronym stands for artists, residents, teachers and students – aims to use HCPS as a hub for building arts connections across the community. This year’s free event will be held April 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Highland Springs High School.
On Saturday, April 29, visitors to the festival will be able to board the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ mobile gallery. The 78-foot “Artmobile” will be open outside the school from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., barring rain or other inclement weather. The current exhibition examines the complex role of portraiture across cultures and time periods.
