Student Activities and Athletics

Henrico County Public Schools provides opportunities for all students to be involved in extracurricular student activities. Through student councils, athletic teams, performing groups, clubs and academic competition teams, students learn valuable skills such as responsibility, teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking and leadership.

HCPS is proud of our numerous local, district, regional, state, national and international recognitions. Athletic teams from Henrico schools have won more than 130 Virginia High School League state championships in varsity sports. Destination Imagination, academic competitions, Knowledge Master Open and First Robotics teams have won numerous state and international competitions.

Student activities forms can be obtained from your school or downloaded below and must be submitted to the principal of your school. All participants must complete the student activities contract. Athletic participants must also complete the appropriate athletic participation form and the athletic concussion policy prior to becoming a member of any school athletic squad or team. Participation forms must be completely filled in and properly signed, attesting that the student has been examined and found to be physically fit for athletic competition and that his or her parents consent to participation.
