Maggie L. Walker Governor's School
Eighth grade students who reside in Henrico County and meet a set of academic criteria may apply for admission to Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies. This regional high school for gifted students offers an advanced college preparatory curriculum emphasizing government, international studies, world languages, science, mathematics and fine arts, as well as opportunities for international learning experiences. Students are selected on a competitive basis through an application process beginning mid-October and lasting through early March.
