Tomorrow may be a 1/2 day of school but it is also our first Belonging Day! Come dressed in your grade level colors for a day filled with fun.
PK & K = Purple
1st= Royal/ Dark Blue
2nd= Orange
3rd= Yellow
4th= Green
5th= Red
Students will begin the day in a schoolwide pep rally & then participate in interested based clubs. Dismissal begins at 11:05!

Your Beautification Committee is working on creating planting, sensory, and butterfly gardens as well as other flowers/plants in containers around campus. We will be using some metal file cabinets as planters. You won't recognize them! Should you be willing to donate any extra items you may have or if you know of any leads to assist us, it would be greatly appreciated!
Items:
Other furniture or cabinets that can be used as planters
Stepping stone materials (bricks, flagstones, concrete squares)
Garden hoses
Plastic watering cans
Fencing
Chicken wire
Extra lumber pieces (to build a bench, trellis)
Tree trunk pieces or tree cookies
Container soil
Exterior paint
Volunteers:
*To pick-up larger donated items
*Someone interested in small woodwork projects
Plants:
We are focusing on native plants that attract pollinators and beneficial insects, and require less water and maintenance once established. Should you be dividing any that you would like to share, please let us know.

We’re thrilled to introduce you to Janaria Lickey, our new Speech-Language Pathologist. Janaria joins us with a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping students find their voices, having earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Virginia.
Outside of her professional life, Janaria is an avid baker who loves whipping up sweet treats, and she shares her home with a delightful 4-year-old Yorkie named Jack.
Janaria is excited to join our Seven Pines community because she understands the importance of communication and is eager to work with our students to help them thrive academically and personally!
We have some wonderful news to share! Mrs. Campbell welcomed a beautiful healthy girl to her family this summer. While she begins the year at home with her family we will have an amazingly talented board-sub, Mrs. Cho! Please welcome Mrs. Cho to the Seven Pines family. We are SO lucky to have her!
Hello! My name is Juliet Cho. I will join this fall semester and can't wait to meet everyone. Here's a little bit about me:
I graduated from Liberty University with a Master's degree in music education. I also have a Master's degree in music therapy. I'm happily married and have two wonderful kids, a rising 5th-grade daughter and a 2nd-grade son. I love to go fishing with my family in our free time. I can play the piano, guitar, and gayageum, a traditional Korean instrument. I am incredibly excited to teach music class at Seven Pines!

~She is married with 3 children: Jackson (16), Molly (14) and Finn (😎, Moose (yellow lab) and Styles (cat).
~This will be her 24th year in education—23 years in the classroom, teaching 14 years in Richmond City before coming to Henrico.
~She received her undergrad degree from JMU and M. Ed. From UVA.
~She enjoys: reading, dancing, learning new things, spending time with friends and family.
~THE BEACH IS HER HAPPY PLACE!!!!!!!!!

My name is Amy Swanson and I am originally from Cumberland County, VA. I finished my undergrad degree at Old Dominion University and I am currently working on a masters degree in curriculum and instruction from Western Governors University. I have two young adult children, Matthew is 20 and is in the Coast Guard stationed in Portsmouth, VA and Julianna is 19 and currently going to college in Long Beach, CA and plans to become an attorney. I love to cook--I come from a family of restaurateurs. My great-grandmother, grandmother, mother and now sister all have owned restaurants so I have been cooking since I was old enough to hold a spoon :) I love going to school--I truly enjoy the entire day and I will always be a learner--seeking opportunities to learn new things constantly. I am so excited to be working at Seven Pines!

Hello, I am Mr. Berry a recent graduate of Pennsylvania Western University in California where I received both my associate's and bachelor's degrees. I also played Men’s basketball at the Division 2 level while attending CAL. I like to DJ, workout, and most importantly spend time with my family.

Wear blue this Friday! Seven Pines is recognizing Autism Acceptance Week April 8th through 12th. We are thankful and proud of the contributions that students and community members with autism make to our Seven Pines community. Seven Pines students and staff members will learn more about autism and its impact throughout the week. Show your support for autism awareness on Friday, April 12th by wearing blue.
