Math Olympiads

Since 1979 Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMSⓇ)  has been providing challenging and thought provoking mathematical problems designed to strengthen students’ mathematical skills.  Math Olympiad participants are located in all fifty states, three US territories and in thirty foreign countries.  In all this year, 4,061 teams and approximately 90,000 students participated.  

Students who earned awards rank among the best mathematicians on their grade level. The following math olympians in Mrs. Langberg's class won awards for excellence within Division E, grade 5.

Tyler G, Ethan K, Abeer S, and Srihaas S scored within the top 2% of participants, earning a gold pin.

Annie K, Shiven K, Yashna S, Liam S, Evan T, and Shreya V scored within the top 3-10% of participants, earning a silver pin.

George A, Abhik A, Shreyan A, Aarav C, Luke F, Hannah G, Naysa G, Leo H, Jaden H, Ansh J, Samarth K, Viha K, Ramnandan K, Jayden L, Anish M, Neva N, Sriansh P, Rishita P, Annie Q, Aashvi S, Mahir S, Vraj S, and Supreeth V scored within the top 11-25% of participants, earning an embroidered patch.  

As a whole, the Rivers Edge team was recognized with a plaque and is included on the MOEMSⓇ  Honor Roll for scoring within the top 10% of all participating teams.
