Elementary Summer Academy Remediation (by invitation only based on need)
When -
Option 1: 6-week session, June 10 - July 18 (Mon-Thurs, 7:30am - 12:30 pm)
*No classes on June 19 or July 4
Option 2: 3-week session, July 1-July 18 (Mon-Thurs, 7:30am - 12:30 pm)
*No classes on July 4
Where - Longdale Elementary (bus picks up and drops off at Rivers Edge)
Who - Rising 1st - 5th grade students identified through HCPS criteria including iReady data for reading and math, PALs, and intervention data
** Elementary remediation is for current HCPS students only
How - Remediation invitations will be sent to eligible students beginning March 11 (no fee)
Math Support Program (by invitation only based on need)
When -
Session I: June 10-June 27 (Mon- Thurs, 8:30 am - 1:30 pm)
*No class June 19
Session II: July 1 - July 18 (Mon- Thurs, 8:30 am - 1:30 pm)
*No class July 4
Where - Holman Middle School (bus picks up and drops off at Rivers Edge)
Who - Eligible Rising 6th graders (current 5th graders) based on the need for additional math support
How - Remediation invitations will be sent to eligible students beginning March 11 (no fee)
Study Skills Program (open to any rising 6th grader)
When -
Session I: June 10-June 27 (Mon- Thurs, 8:30 am - 1:30 pm)
*No class June 19
Session II: July 1 - July 18 (Mon- Thurs, 8:30 am - 1:30 pm)
*No class July 4
The same course curriculum is taught during each session. As a result, students should only register for one session.
Where - Holman Middle School (bus picks up and drops off at Rivers Edge)
Who - Rising 6th graders needing additional support in study skills, test taking skills, and classroom performance

Elementary Enrichment Classes (open to any rising 1st-5th grader on first come, first served basis)
When -
Session 1: June 10 - June 27 (Mon - Thurs, 7:30 am - 12:30 pm)
*No class June 19
Session 2: July 1 - July 18 (Mon - Thurs, 7:30 am - 12:30 pm)
*No class on July 4
For courses offered in both sessions, the same course curriculum is taught. As a result, students attending both sessions should request different courses.
Where - Shady Grove Elementary School (bus picks up and drops off at Rivers Edge)
Who - Open rising 1st grade - 5th grades (current Kg-4th graders)
** Elementary enrichment is for current HCPS students only
How - Registration forms will be shared prior to March 18. Keep in mind, seats are limited for the enrichment classes. Rivers Edge will process forms on March 18 (We anticipate most classes will be filled within the first few days of registration.) (no fee)
