With so much to celebrate, Rivers Edge was hopping during our first Rally at the River! Mrs. Jennings kept us rolling with fun music, a 5th grade demonstration of our new bucket drums (Thanks to generous donations from our local Lowe's stores!!), and a drumming lesson with some of our newest staff members. Students and teachers also celebrated their reading success as we reviewed top iReady participation and completion percentages. A special shout out to Mrs. Waldron's class for being the top class and thus getting to keep Plory in their room until our Quarter 2 rally! Our celebrations continued with the acknowledgement of our new announcement team. We are sad to see our current team move on, but we know the next group will be just as impressive!
Throughout the first quarter, our eagles earned green tickets for their acts of kindness, being safe, taking ownership and responsibility, and demonstrating respect. After our random drawings, two lucky winners from each grade level walked away with the coveted stuffed eagles. Congratulations to those students as well as all our well-behaved eagles who continue to SOAR! Our Rally at the River concluded with Mrs. Jennings leading all of us in our Just Be Kind song. What a touching moment! Thank you to our students, teachers, staff, and community for a wonderful start to the school year.
