We would like to make our community aware that, based on current student enrollment and space utilization factors, Rivers Edge received an additional classroom trailer last week (bringing our overall total to 4 trailers). Contractors worked with HCPS Facilities to determine placement of this trailer on school property. Once the installment of the trailer is complete, the space will be used for small group instruction with Mrs. Francis. Unfortunately, the new trailer is located close to the basketball hoops on the black top and students have been instructed not to use them at this time. Rivers Edge has requested the Facilities team relocate the basketball hoops closer to the middle of the blacktop giving students the opportunity to use them again during recess.
Rivers Edge continues to be slightly above building capacity. Specific questions concerning space utilization and student enrollment should be directed to Rachel Thayer, HCPS School Planning Specialist. Redistricting is a School Board Action, and questions concerning this process should be directed to our School Board Representative, Mickey Ogburn.
