Rivers Edge will participate in the National Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 4. We would like to invite students, families, school leaders, community partners to join us to celebrate the benefits of walking to school during International Walk to School Day. Students who live in the walking zone will walk to school as usual, but other students and their families who normally ride the bus or are driven to school may join them. Students who normally ride a school bus and live in Wyndham Forest will create a “walking school bus” and walk to school from their bus stop 20 minutes before their normal pick up time.
Students who normally ride a school bus or are driven to school and live outside of Wyndham Forest will meet up with other students and their families in the back of Chipotle on the corner of Twin Hickory Drive and Nuckols Road. Please use the spaces in front of Chipotle to park. As a group led by Mr. Rutman, families will leave at 7:05am.
