We all live downstream! Today 4th grade made watersheds in the steam lab. We made mountains and valleys out of paper and trash bags, then we made it RAIN! 🌧️
After, we polluted our mountain tops and saw where the water ends up flowing. ⛰️🌧️
These 4th grade students are creating the world’s next protectors of the Earth! The students learned what water pollution looks like, how it happens, and what not to do to help save our planet! One student’s face explains how awful polluted water is! 😷 Way to go 4th grade 👏🏼🌎

Years in Teaching: “I am a career switcher so this is my 3rd year teaching. I’ve taught 3rd grade and now 5th grade. I was also an IA in 6th and 8th grade before I came to Johnson.”
Favorite subject to teach: “Social studies! I love history so I find it to be fun to teach.”
Hobbies: “I love reading! I’ve read almost 30 books this year. They have been mostly thrillers.”

Our 4th & 5th graders in the First Responders Club started the morning practicing dialing 911 in case of an emergency. Thank you to the @henricopolice for helping our students know what to do!

These 4th grade students from Mrs. Hines class had an “arch-mazing” time learning how native people & archeologists dug to find artifacts to learn about how people lived!
