Leveraged virtual field trips available from museums, zoos, and other organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Evidence 2021 – 2022:
Launched two new specialty centers – Center for Environmental Science and the Center for Allied Health and Human Services – with current eighth-graders eligible to apply for the 2022-2023 school year.
Began planning the redesign for the renovation of Advanced Career Education (ACE) centers.
Created opportunities for students to learn about energy conservation and weatherization through a Dominion Energy Grant.
Earned multiple 2021 National Association of Counties Achievement Awards for groundbreaking programs related to career and technical education, including CTE Rodeo, Live on Location: Exploring Careers During a Pandemic, Nursing Students Act Locally to Combat Global Pandemic and Symposium Puts Students at Heart of Fashion Industry.
