So far, we've received $150 in donations, but we're still aiming to cover our expenses from this year, which totaled around $2,000. Your support makes a world of difference! Thursday, May 16: Final PTA Meeting: Greenwood Voyage
We're thrilled to invite all our 2024-2025 KinderGators and their families to Greenwood Elementary School on Thursday, May 16th, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM for the exciting Greenwood Voyage PTA meeting! KinderGators will have a blast participating in fun activities led by our dedicated kindergarten teachers right in the classroom! Meanwhile, parents will receive essential insights on preparing their little ones for kindergarten this summer. Don't miss out on this special event as we embark on an unforgettable journey together! Friday, May 17: Head of House Parent Appreciation Breakfast
This Friday, May 17th, we're thrilled to host a special appreciation breakfast from Panera to express our gratitude to our dedicated Head of House parents. Throughout the school year, these parents have shown unwavering support to their leaders by actively participating in various special events, such as house breakfasts and community service projects, as well as providing early support for morning ceremonies and meetings. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our parents for their invaluable partnership in this essential role within our school community.
Friday, May 17: Skate Night @ Ashland Skakeland
Join us for an evening of fun from 5 - 7 PM at 516 N. Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA 23005. This event is open to all Pk - 5th graders! No need to sign up in advance—just show up ready to have a blast with your classmates!
May 21: Greenwood Color Run at Shady Grove YMCA @ 5 PM (FREE Event)
Our Greenwood Gators will run the Shady Grove course while the YMCA and Greenwood Staff toss a safe, non-toxic color powder, creating a rainbow of fun! We have over 200 Gators signed up already! We invite our runners to wear white clothing. Warm-ups, snacks, and music will be provided. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. Please remember this is NOT a drop-off event and parents will have to stay for the duration of the event with their child(ren).
Friday, May 24: Mega Bowl/House Achievement, 2nd - 5th Grade
Prepare for the ultimate House Event of the year for our 2nd - 5th graders—The Mega Bowl! This intense competition will feature 16 different stations where massive points will be awarded. Participation is open to students who have 5 or fewer X’s on their green take-home folder/The Daily Report as our House Achievement Celebration. The schedule is as follows: 5th grade at 8:00 AM, 2nd grade at 8:30 AM, 4th grade at 9:00 AM, and 3rd grade at 9:30 AM. Get ready to bring your A-game and compete for glory!
