House Point Challenge
Earn a house point by recording your family singing a verse from our school song, "Home," and sending it to our Innovative Learning Coach, Mrs. Trentham at setrentham@henrico.k12.va.us. Your videos could be featured in our morning announcements the week of May 6.

Gator Gala
Join us for the highly anticipated Gator Gala on Friday, May 10th, from 6 to 8 PM. Secure your $5 ticket online or with cash at the main office before they sell out. Dress to impress and savor delectable offerings from Hawks BBQ, Tiffany’s Food Truck, and Kona Ice. Only 5th graders may attend unaccompanied. All other students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers are needed for decorating, entry ticket collection, parking, dance monitors and more! Sign up today for a fun and rewarding experience! 

Learning and Discovery After School Program
If you're exploring after-school options for the upcoming school year, consider The Learning and Discovery Program hosted by the Henrico Education Foundation. Running daily from 2 PM to 6 PM at Greenwood, this program boasts a highly qualified staff. With fewer than 10 spots remaining, we encourage you to register today to secure your spot. Head of House Applications
If your gator is interested in applying to be a Head of House for 2024-2025, please pick up an application in the main office this week.

Friday, May 3: Reading Award Ceremony
Join us for our Reading Award Ceremony, our fourth and final celebration honoring students who have shown a passion for literacy.

Saturday, May 4: Pet Parade
Prepare to bring your beloved pets to the Greenwood track for a 20-30 minute walk/play date at the Pet Parade. Stay tuned for the event's timing as we keep an eye on the weather. This event was a hit last year! 

May 6 - 10: Teacher Appreciation Week 

  • Monday May 6th- 🌷Bring in flowers from home for your teacher or purchase at drop off! PTA Volunteers will be selling individual stems for $1 at the bus loop and car rider line between 720-740am! All staff members will have beautiful vases to collect and display their flowers during the week!

  • Tuesday May 7th-👚Dress like a Greenwood staff member! 

  • Wednesday May 8th-🦸‍♀️ Dress like a super hero to represent our super staff!

  • Thursday May 9th- Sign up to volunteer at recess. Please help us give our wonderful Greenwood Teachers the gift of time during Teacher Appreciation Week and sign up to cover recess duty! 

  • Friday May 10th-🎁A perfect day to shower your teacher with notes, gifts and cards! 

PTA Spirit night! End of school year event
Our final spirit night for the school year will be held on Friday May 17th at Ashland Skateland, 5-7pm! Come out for an exciting night of fun, laughter and community as we celebrate with our graduating 5th graders!
