Visual Arts Expo/Community Showcase @ Hermitage High School - Friday, April 19
Mark your calendars for Friday, April 19, as we celebrate the diverse talents of our students at the Spring Community Showcase hosted at Hermitage High School. The evening will feature captivating performances by our Step Team, Bucket Drumline, ADL, Cheerleaders, Dance Team, and Advanced Dance. All performers are required to arrive by 5:30 PM. Look out for permission slips coming home on Monday, April 15 and are due by Thursday, April 18. We encourage all our students to participate in this wonderful opportunity to showcase their skills.
Step Team Practice - Wednesday, April 17
Join us for Step Team practice this Wednesday, April 17, as our talented members fine-tune their routine for the upcoming showcase. Practice will run from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. Parents, please arrange to pick up your child outside the gym after practice.
PRIMETIME RVA - Thursday, April 18
Greenwood is proud to host PRIMETIME RVA, Virginia's exclusive soft skills competition, on Thursday, April 18, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Let's cheer on Channing and Issac as they represent Greenwood against 21 other schools! For parents of students in HEF/Learning and Discovery programs, pick-up will be at the middle bus loop. Please be aware that parking might be challenging due to the expected turnout of over 500 guests and parents for this special event. CLICK HERE to view a recap hype video hype video from 2023.
Hallway Music

We aim to fill our hallways with music because we believe that what students hear influences how they feel!
Yearbook Request
If you have any pictures you'd like us to consider for the 2024 Yearbook, please CLICK HERE to upload them. We'll also explore using these photos for our school's murals and hallway displays.
Kindergarten Registration
If you missed last week's kindergarten registration, don't worry! Simply email Christina Medico at cmmedico@henrico.k12.va.us to schedule a registration appointment this week. Don't wait until May to register. Registered KinderGators will have the chance to tour our building on either April 19th or May 8th from 8:00 to 8:30 AM, accompanied by a parent. Additionally, on May 16th, all registered KinderGators are invited to join us for Greenwood Voyage from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, where they'll meet our kindergarten teachers and take part in various school activities.
Learning & Discovery 2024 - 2025 Registration Update:
CLICK HERE to register now for our after school enrichment program from 2 - 6 PM after school for the 2024-2025 school year. We do anticipate that spots will be filled by May 1, 2024.
All In Tutoring Reminders:
Our 3-5th grade All In Tutoring ends April 16. Please help us thank our teachers that have given up their time after school since October to prepare our gators for our end of the year assessments!
