Monday 

Advanced Drumline: 3rd – 5th Grade with Glen Allen High School Pep Band
Our ADL is back and ready to create the most engaging school environment in Virginia. Students will perform both on and off campus at special events! Drum experience is required as this is an elite team that will utilize marching band equipment. Selected students would be charged to participate in this elite enrichment opportunity.

Cheerleading: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mrs. Jacobs and Mrs. Green
Spread school spirit with pride! Join our coached team of enthusiastic students, led by VCU and Virginia Tech cheerleading alumni, to bring energy and excitement to pep rallies and hallways.

Drumline: 3rd – 5th Grade with Mr. Stein
Our drumline, “G-Wood,” will continue to set the tone each week as they parade down the hallway and welcome our bus riders. These students will perform at our quarterly pep rallies and selected assemblies. Each year our drumline will also participate in at least one performance off campus. We have performed at school board meetings, Glen Allen Parade, high school sporting events, and were even scheduled to open a major teacher conference in Chesterfield, Virginia! 

Flag Twirlers: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mrs. Ross 
Join the Flag Twirlers Club and master the art of handling our six dazzling new Greenwood parade flags! Get ready to showcase your skills at pep rallies and lead spirited processions through our school's hallways. Together, we'll ignite a sense of unity and pride, infusing Greenwood with a vibrant display of school spirit!

LEGO Club: Kindergarten & 1st Grade with Mrs. Walker 
Build and present innovative LEGO creations while honing problem-solving and presenting skills through weekly challenges.

Mentor Munchies: 2nd - 4th Grade with Ms. Cox
Mentor Munchies is a distinctive program crafted for our 2nd - 4th grade leaders! These students will gather with their peers in the cafeteria from 7:20 - 7:40 AM during breakfast to establish a sense of belonging with new students, exchange weekend stories, and provide positive affirmations to kickstart the week. Guided by our committed school counselor, this initiative strives to nurture robust mentorship skills, fostering a supportive community within our school and contributing to the ongoing creation of a magical school experience for all.

PRIMETIME RVA: 5th Grade with Ms. Eberhard and Mrs. Milwit 
Discover the wonders of the PRIMETIME RVA program, where you'll engage in exciting activities that promote personal growth and skill development. Top students will compete against other schools in a regional tournament. 

Shrinky Dink Club: 2nd - 5th Grade with Mrs. Barlett
Enter the magical world of Shrinky Dinks! We will be making pins, keychains and earrings for ourselves, our friends and family and to sell at the Henrico Humane Society’s Pet Expo to raise money for dogs and cats looking for their forever homes!

6th Grade Magic with Mrs. Melton 
6th Grade Magic is a heartwarming initiative where cherished alumni return to Greenwood Elementary School, infusing classrooms and morning clubs with inspiration and mentorship. These dedicated individuals not only uplift our students but also collaborate with our teachers, creating a powerful synergy that leaves an indelible mark on our school community. Through engaging tales of their own successes, they empower our 5th grade seniors, ensuring a legacy of positivity and impact in the halls of Greenwood.

Math Mania: 4th & 5th Grade with Mrs. Jackson
Join the select group of students in an exciting journey of math facts and fun math games that will challenge your skills and boost your love for numbers!

STEAM Challenge: 2nd & 3rd Grade with Mrs. Walker 
Calling young math and science enthusiasts! Each week compete in a competitive STEAM challenge that will stretch your creativity and problem solving skills. 

Step Team: 3rd – 5th Grade with Ms. Wilson, Mrs. Walker
Are you spirited? Do you have rhythm? Do you love to perform? Do you want to participate on a team? If you answered YES to these questions, “The Gator Stomp” is for you! This passionate group will perform at selected PTA meetings, quarterly pep rallies, and sporting competitions.

Boggle: 2nd – 5th Grade with Mrs. Jackson
Unleash your word power in the Boggle club! Play against others, race the timer, and expand your vocabulary while having fun with word-building challenges.

Cricut Jewelry Club: 4th & 5th Grade with Mrs. Coward 
Join the Cricut Jewelry Club for 4th and 5th graders and unleash your creativity! Learn to craft unique jewelry pieces using Cricut machines, make new friends, and have a blast exploring the world of design and fashion together.

Dance Team:  1st – 5th Grade with Eleanor Robertson, Nurse C, Ms. Elkins, Nurse C and Mr. Stein
The Greenwood Dance Team is famous for their monthly performances at PTA meetings, pep rallies, and sporting competitions. Our dance instructor, Eleanor Robertson from Rigby’s Jig Ballroom Dance Studio, leads our team with passion and enthusiasm unknown to mankind! Get ready to boogie on down! 

Fearless Front Stage/Back Stage: 1st - 5th Grade with Mrs. Melton

Thursday 

Advanced Dance: 3rd – 5th Grade with tryout with Eleanor Robertson
In the 2022-2023 School Year, we will launch an ‘Elite Dance Team’ program at Greenwood Elementary, which will focus on higher level dance choreography and concepts for students who wish to take their dancing to the next level. This will be a small group with individual lesson from Eleanor Robertson from Rigby’s Jig Ballroom Dance Studio. Selected students would be charged to participate in this elite enrichment opportunity.

Bananagrams: 2nd - 5th Grade with Mrs. Foster 
Experience the thrill of literacy as you race against the clock, building words and having a blast in this fast-paced word game!

Club Half Blood: 4th and 5th with Ms. Reed and Mrs. Coward
Join Ms. Reed and Mrs. Coward as we celebrate all things Percy Jackson and Camp Half Blood, from blue foods to training for our own epic quest! 

Fearless: Chorus: 3rd- 5th Grade (and preassigned members K-5th) with Mr. Stein
Calling all musically gifted students! Join our dynamic group as we harmonize and prepare to perform six iconic Taylor Swift songs for our upcoming school musical, Fearless. Start your mornings off with a burst of energy and musical camaraderie. Get ready to shake it off and infuse your day with the joy of song!

Gators on the Go: Kindergarten - 5th Grade with Mrs. Jacobs
For those who love running, Gators on the Go prepares students for the Warrior 1 Mile Run and Color Run, an energetic way to start the day on the Greenwood track.

Keva Planks: 1st - 3rd Grade with Mr. Clark
Collaborate with your peers to conquer weekly challenges, leading to a county tournament that will put your creativity and building skills to the test!

Minecraft: 2nd - 5th Grade with Mr. Favale and Mrs. Trentham
Utilize creative thinking and problem-solving skills to conquer Greenwood's Minecraft challenges, a beloved staple at our school.

Tubano Drums: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Eberhard
Perform at Unity Day in front of 650 people by learning different drum patterns in this club. 

Shotokan Karate: Kindergarten- 5th Grade with Master Al Taylor and Nurse C
Ready to get fit while having fun and building self confidence! Martial Arts is a way of life that embodies the essence of character building, self confidence and respect for others. Master Al Taylor is a 5th degree Black Belt in Shotokan Karate, earning his rankings and credentials as a member of the Shotokan Karate International Federation, with over 30 years experience in teaching. Bring out your warrior spirit and join us for some high energy training and development!.

Yearbook Club: 5th Grade with Mrs. Fox and Ms. Cox
Student Editors learn about photography, design layout, publishing, advertising, editing, and everything else it takes to produce the yearbook. The yearbook club comes up with ideas and themes all while learning and completing production of the book

Friday 

Head of House: Select 4th & 5th Grade with Head of House Teacher Leaders
Select group of students will meet to create pep rallies, community service projects,  spirit day marketing materials, morning announcements, and etc.

All County Chorus: Select 4th & 5th Grade with Mrs. Murphy 
These students will learn several songs that they will perform at the county level.
