Light of Hope
Congratulations to Greenwood’s “Lights of Hope” award recipient, which was presented today to Abby Dean for demonstrating the attributes of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr! Abby truly exemplifies positive contributions to our school and community. 

Morning Club Update
Thursday, January 18 will be the final day of morning clubs for the 2nd marking period. Our new sign up for 3rd marking period clubs will be released on Sunday, January 21 at 6 PM.

Tuesday, January 16 - All In Tutoring
We are excited to resume our after school tutoring program for our 3rd - 5th graders. 

Wednesday, January 17 - Parent Dance Practice - Kula Unity Day Performance
We are able to host an additional rehearsal on Wednesday, January 17 from 6:15-7:15 pm for our special parent dance at our Kula Unity Day celebration. We will have the first 45 minutes in the Music Room and the final 15 minutes in the Gym, which is where we will perform on Friday Jan 19th for Kula Unity Day. Friday, January 19 - Kula Unity Day
We welcome all students and families to join in the gym and cafeteria from 7:20 - 7:55 AM for a House breakfast prepared by our student house leaders! This is a great opportunity for all housemates to get together and celebrate the House of Warriors. 

Following our House Breakfast, we will have our Kula Unity Day pep rally from 8:30 - 9:25 AM. We will have performances by the following morning clubs: ADL, step team, dance team and advanced dance. 

Friday, January 19 - Glen Allen High School Basketball Event
Greenwood has been invited to perform at the boy’s and girl’s basketball game at Glen Allen High School on Friday, January 19 at the estimated times: 

Girls Game: End of 3rd Quarter Advanced Dance 6:00 PM
Boy’s Game: End of 1st Quarter Dance Team 7:30 PM
Boy’s Game: Half Time Cheerleaders 7:45 PM

The bucket drumline and ADL will perform during timeouts so please be ready to rock and roll! If you can not make this special performance, please notify your child’s coach before Thursday, January 18.

Answer the call to become a volunteer and take on a multitude of missions: delivering crucial items, providing assistance in classrooms, producing materials, engaging with students through reading sessions, or providing invaluable support during lunchtime operations.
