Friends

Dear Greenwood Families,

We hope this message finds you well and eagerly anticipating the exciting events ahead. We're thrilled to share details about the Taji Community Service Project on Friday, November 17, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM, and our upcoming Friendsgiving celebration on Monday, November 20. The purpose of this email is to provide clarity on both events and encourage your participation.

Taji Community Service Project:

The Taji Community Service Project is a wonderful opportunity for members of House Taji to come together in the spirit of friendship and unity. During this event, students and families will be organizing bags of food for our community and collaborating with our community partners. Their efforts will include restocking our school food pantry and organizing items for our off-campus food pantry supported by the YMCA. Additionally, members of House Taji will be contributing to the festive atmosphere by adorning the gym and cafeteria walls and doors with decorations, which will be part of the Friendsgiving lunch celebration on Monday, November 20. Click HERE to sign up. If you have any additional questions, please contact Mrs. Melton, our school counselor and House Taji leader, at kamelton@henrico.k12.va.us

Friendsgiving:

Friendsgiving is a special lunch celebration open to all students, and we extend a warm welcome to all parents and families to join in the fun. Aligned with our school theme, "Home," we aim to create more opportunities for our community to feel welcome during lunchtime. Our dedicated room parents are organizing delightful treats and coordinating table decorations to enhance the festive ambiance. They are also ensuring that all families are aware of the invitation to join their gator in either the gym or cafeteria for lunch. Please refer to the schedule below for the designated time and location for each grade's lunch. No sign-up is required to attend, but we kindly ask parents to sign in upon arrival on campus.

In the spirit of gratitude, we also encourage all our students and families to participate in our gratitude activity. Take a moment to reflect and share what you are thankful for with our Greenwood community. We aspire to compile and share these expressions of gratitude at our next faculty meeting, reinforcing the strength of our community bonds.

We look forward to your enthusiastic participation in these community-building events. Should you have any questions or require further information, feel free to reach out to us. Let's make these occasions memorable for our Greenwood family! #Home
