Report Cards
We would like to emphasize the importance of reviewing your child's report card at home over the weekend.  Taking the time to go through their achievements and areas for improvement provides valuable insights into their academic progress. We encourage you to engage in goal-setting discussions with your child for the upcoming 2nd marking period, identifying specific targets and developing an action plan to achieve them. This is also a great time to review all the house points your child has received. Showing your student that you actively monitor their progress on your phone or computer can create a sense of buy-in and engagement that will play a major impact in our classroom. Your involvement is crucial to their success, and we believe that setting goals together fosters a sense of responsibility and commitment. If you find the need for additional support or tutoring, please visit our school website for available resources. Together, with your support at home, we can ensure the success of our students in both academic and behavioral goals.

School Supply Check
As we enter the 2nd marking period, we kindly request that you take a few moments to check your child's school supplies. Ensure they have an ample supply of pencils, functioning highlighters, and functional headphones. It's essential to note that our students use computers and iPads daily, and adherence to our school rule is crucial: headphones on or volume off. Having operational headphones is a necessity to facilitate a focused and productive learning environment at the school. Thank you for your attention to this matter, as it contributes to the overall success and engagement of our students.

House Soccer Cup Results
Congratulations to our 2nd/3rd grade House Soccer Cup champion, Tatonka, and our 4th/5th grade champion, Sol. Huge thanks to all our coaches and volunteers for making our 9th annual soccer tournament such a success!

Monday, November 13 - No School - Student/teacher holiday - Diwali

Tuesday, November 14 - 2nd Quarter Morning Clubs Begin
Just a reminder, morning clubs are an optional extracurricular activity. If your child is joining a club, we strongly recommend they arrive as a car rider/parent drop off between 7:15 - 7:20 AM to ensure they are on time. If a student arrives after 7:25 AM, they will be counted as absent from their club. Missing more than 2 meetings or accumulating 6 or more X’s on their Daily Report will result in a student being removed from a morning club. These clubs serve as both academic and behavior incentives, providing a platform for our students to showcase their unique gifts and talents.

Turkey King/Queen Donations Continue

The gifted referral window will be open from Wednesday, November 1, through Friday, November 17, at 4PM. During this time, students may be referred to the gifted identification process by an educator, parent/guardian, community member, peer, or self. By submitting a referral, you are requesting your child be evaluated to determine eligibility for gifted services. To begin a referral, use the Gifted Referral Collection Form to communicate your referral to school staff. Gifted referrals will not be accepted after 4PM on Friday, November 17. Contact Amy Eberhard, the Gifted Identification Coordinator (areberhard@gmail.com) with questions or if you are having difficulty filling out the form.
