Monday, October 2 - Greenwood Soccer and Basketball Permission Slips Come Home
We're thrilled to announce our 9th annual Greenwood Basketball (11.3.23) and Soccer (11.11.23) House Tournament! Look out for the permission slip, which will be sent home on Monday and kindly return it by October 20. All pertinent details about these tournaments will be enclosed in the permission slip.
Thursday, October 5 - Red Robin Spirit Night (PTA Event)
Join us at Red Robin (10067 Brook Rd, Glen Allen VA 23059) or opt for takeout. 20% of the proceeds will support our Greenwood PTA. Don't forget to bring the attached flyer when you go!
Friday, October 6 - Gator Bash (2nd & 5th Grade)
Get ready for one of the best dance parities at Greenwood from 7:20 - 7:45 AM in the gym with 2nd and 5th grade. The music will be bumping and the students will be leading cheers, chants, and fun!
Friday, October 6 - Spirt Cart (2nd & 3rd Grade)
This week, our spirit cart will be open to only 2nd and 3rd grade students from 7:20 - 7:45 AM.
Friday, October 6 - Richmond Ballet (2nd - 5th grade)
Henrico County Public Schools are bringing back the Richmond Ballet to perform at all elementary schools. We are excited to host from 9 - 9:45 AM.
Saturday, October 7 - Glen Allen Day Parade - Sign up here
The Glen Allen Day Parade is an incredible event open to our entire school! Wear your house shirts or Greenwood spirit wear!
We're also in need of volunteers to help decorate our trailer on Friday, October 6th from 6-8pm (4013 Tin Roof Way, Glen Allen VA 23059).
Additionally, we have spots available for those who'd like to march with us in the Glen Allen Day Parade on October 7th! The meet-up will be at the Glen Allen Market on Mountain Rd. Please arrive by 7:45am.

Friday, October 13 - Fundraising Gator Bash
Students who raised $150 will have the opportunity to participate in a Glow in the Dark Gator Bash from 7:20 - 7:45 AM in the gym! Don't forget your dancing shoes.
Friday, October 13 - Glen Allen High School Football Game
Save the date! Our Drumline and Cheerleaders will be performing at the Glen Allen High School football game on Friday night under the lights. We invite the entire Greenwood community to come and enjoy the game. More details will come out this week about arrival time.
House Shirt Donations
If your gator has outgrown their house shirt and you'd like to donate it to a student, please send it to the main office this week. One of our goals is to ensure all students have a house shirt by October 27.
Regency Mile - Open to ALL Greenwood Gators - October 29, 2023
For the past 14 years, the Regency Mile is the largest timed youth road race in Richmond Click and our Greenwood Gators are going to participate! CLICK HERE to register your Greenwood Gator and please use the code "GES23" for $10 off the registration fee which will make it $15.
Community Meal
As your neighbor and school partner with many upcoming projects with the Greenwood teachers/staff, Hunton Baptist Church would like to get to know you and for you to get to know us. We are excited to invite your family to a free, sit-down community meal on Thursday, October 26, from 5:15-6:45. “Join Us At the Table” is an opportunity to “meet, eat, and fellowship” with families in our neighborhood. We realize that schedules are busy, and families are often on the run. Sitting down at the dinner table some nights is a challenge, so, let us cook and serve you! While your family is welcome to stay the entire time, you can come when you can and leave when you must. We will have table activities, especially for the little ones. Bring your neighbor with you. We do ask that families sign-up for the dinner. An on-line link to sign-up will be available from our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/HuntonBC/, beginning Sunday, October 8. The menu for the evening will also be posted. Directions will also be available to sign-up by email or phone.
