Important 2nd Week of School Reminders
Tardies: If you arrive after 7:40 AM, you must park your car and walking into the school to sign in your child. Our School Security Officer, Mr. Shelton, will be reminding families of our procedure.
Early Dismissal: We do not take any early dismissals after 1:45 PM in order to assure the safety of all students.
Please make sure your child has purchased their $3 green take home folder. All students need this essential item.
Please send into school 3-5 family photos to be posted on your teacher’s belong bulletin board.

As a reminder, several clubs do have a tryout process next week from 7:20 - 7:45 AM. If your child misses tryouts, they will not be selected for the club.

We are looking for students, parents, and community volunteers to play the piano or drum kit in the hallway during morning arrival.
Parent Advisory Committee
All parents are welcomed to meet with our P.A.C. in the library on Thursday, August 31 from 7:20-7:40 a.m to get answers to questions you might have regarding upcoming events or Greenwood procedures. Any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Jackson at lmjackso@henroco.k12.va.us.
PTA Updates/Reminders
Please consider being a Room Parent! Room parents are a vital part of collaboration for our teachers to help plan holiday events and support our classrooms! If you would like to be a room parent for your child’s class, please reach out to your child’s teacher by Thursday, August 31st. Two parents will be selected at random, and your child’s teacher will communicate with you if you are chosen. All other interested parents are welcome to still attend and help out in the classroom with events!
We are excited to bring back parents in the building during the school day to assist with our daily operations. Parents make the magic happen at our school! Click HERE to volunteer!
